Ace Citizenship Test

Ace Citizenship Test is published and operated under the registered Australian business name Smiling Quokka (ABN 72 680 153 860). This policy covers the Ace Citizenship Test app and its pages on this site.

The short version

Version 1.0.0 of Ace Citizenship Test has no accounts and no sign-in, keeps your activity on your own device, does not track you across other apps or sites and carries no advertising. The personal information we can receive is limited to email address and support message. We do not sell data and we do not use your private content for advertising.

What stays on your device

  • Practice and mock test results, saved mistakes and lesson position
  • Your optional exam date and study reminder settings
  • Temporary images created when you choose to share a result

This is stored by the app or by your browser on the device itself. We cannot read it and we cannot restore it for you. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser storage, deletes it permanently.

What we receive

  • Email address and support message — only if you voluntarily contact our external support or privacy mailbox, or separately subscribe on our website, to respond to your request or provide the website updates you requested. It is not linked to an identity profile.

Ordinary server request data reaches our hosting provider whenever a page or update is fetched — IP address, time, requested address and browser or device user agent. Those operational logs exist to serve pages and protect the service from abuse.

We do not ask for your name, postal address, passport, visa status or any other identity document, and you should never send them to us.

What we do not do

  • No advertising, no advertising identifiers.
  • No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
  • No third-party analytics or attribution SDK inside the app.
  • No selling, renting or sharing of personal information with data brokers.
  • No profiling of you and no automated decisions about you.

Optional analytics on this publisher website

From 6 September 2026, smilingquokka.app offers optional Google Analytics for website visits and product interactions. It loads only when you choose Allow analytics in the website controls. This does not collect activity inside this app. You can decline or turn it off below. See our website analytics privacy details.

Native App and website are separate

The native iOS App has no account, email sign-up form, advertising or analytics SDK. Lessons, questions, results and progress are stored on the device. Opening our website or contacting support is optional and separate from studying in the App.

Optional reminders and sharing

Study reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device with your permission. We do not operate a remote push-notification service or receive a push token. You can turn reminders off in the App or iOS Settings. When you choose Share, a temporary result image is passed to the iOS share sheet; only the destination you choose receives it. We do not receive a copy.

Removing learning data

Use Reset progress in the App to clear learning progress, or delete the App to remove its local data. The App does not provide an account or cloud restore service. Website subscriptions and support messages are separate; contact the privacy mailbox to request their removal.

Who processes data for us

  • Vercel — website and web-course hosting with operational request logs; App study content is bundled in the download.
  • Supabase — website email subscriptions, web-course accounts and saved web progress; the native App has no account or database connection.
  • Google Workspace — our support and privacy mailboxes.
  • Stripe — payment processing for the optional web-course purchase; we never see card details.

These providers act on our instructions. Some of them process data outside Australia, which the Australian Privacy Principles permit where the recipient is bound to protect it under comparable obligations.

How long we keep it

  • On-device data stays for as long as you keep the app or your browser storage. Deleting either deletes it, and we hold no copy to expire.
  • Anything you sent us is kept until you ask us to remove it, or until the purpose it was collected for ends. Ask at any time by emailing privacy@smilingquokka.app.
  • Ordinary server request logs expire on our hosting provider's own short retention schedule; we do not extend them or mine them.

Your choices

  • Ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — email privacy@smilingquokka.app.
  • Delete your data yourself at any time: see deleting your data.
  • Complain to us first if you think we have mishandled personal information. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children and age

Ace Citizenship Test is made for a general audience rather than specifically for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it. When we publish an app made for children, that app is held to stricter rules than this one - see our trust page.

Changes

If we add anything that changes what is collected — measurement on the website, an account system, or a paid tier — we will update this page and its date before that change ships.
